The research project titled Ready for a Pandemic? Investigating COVID-19 by the student Maria Salazar Cebrià has received the runner-up award in the first edition of the Europa Jove Prize, organized by the Fundació Catalunya Europa and the Representation of the European Commission in Barcelona, which recognizes the best high school research projects on European topics. The author of the project is a student at Escola Pia Balmes in Barcelona, and the prize jury highlighted the relevance and complexity of the topic.

Europa Jove Prize

The Europa Jove Prize, organized by the Fundació Catalunya Europa and the Representation of the European Commission in Barcelona, is the first award in Catalonia that recognizes high school students’ research projects on European topics, aiming to promote knowledge, research, and interest among young people in the reality of the EU. In this first edition, 58 students from 52 schools participated.
